Why Play Lacrosse?  Here’s 10 Reasons Why!!

Temperatures are warming up for this weekend, Spring will be here before we know it, and that means Lacrosse season is quickly approaching.  In anticipation for another great season Registration Night for Hartland Youth Lacrosse is January 15, 2013 at Ore Creek Middle School from 6-8pm. 

There are many Hartland families who are new to lacrosse, and are asking questions about the sport.  The curiosity is understandable.  While Lacrosse is growing very quickly nationwide, it has been established in Hartland for several years thanks to a strong high school program and great coaches within the Hartland community.  In fact, Hartland lacrosse has established itself as one of the premier lacrosse programs in the metro-Detroit area – both at the youth and high school level!!

Lacrosse is a combination of basketball, soccer and hockey. Anyone can play lacrosse - big or small. The game requires and rewards coordination and agility, not brawn. Quickness and speed are two highly prized qualities in lacrosse…not size. An exhilarating sport, lacrosse is fast-paced and full of action. Long sprints up and down the field with abrupt starts and stops, precision passes and dodges are routine in men's lacrosse. The games are quick and action is nonstop.

Hartland Youth Lacrosse begins at 1^st grade and runs through 8^th grade.  If you have played lacrosse before, you already know how great the sport is.  If you are new to lacrosse, there are many reasons to give it a try.
