Jeannine V. MacDonald, 57, lifetime Livingston County resident, passed away unexpectedly at her home, Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011. She was born May 23, 1953 in Brighton, the daughter of Andrew J. & Florene (Armstrong) Kardos. Beloved wife of David J. MacDonald whom she married in 1996 in Hartland. Dear sister of Ron Kardos of Fenton and Joyce Kardos of Royal Oak; several nieces and nephews including Renee. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Rodiquez. Jeannine was well known as owner of Lady Rebeccas Choice Boutique and the former Thistledown Gift Store in downtown Howell. She was current director of the Livingston Arts Council and a member of Howell Chamber of Commerce; she had pivotal roles in the Howell DDA, Howell Farmers Market, Hartland Players and the Summer Concert Series held on the courthouse lawn. Visitation will be Friday from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with funeral services Saturday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. at MacDonald’s Funeral Home, 315 N. Michigan Ave. (517-546-2800). Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gleaners Food Bank.
