Operation Nice Anti-bullying Program Launches Super Cool New Website—OperationNice.ORG
Author and creator of the Operation Nice Anti-bullying Program, Kristy Short, today announced the launch of the new, interactive Operation Nice website—OperationNice.ORG. The website is an integral component of the full-year anti-bullying program that kicks off fall 2012 at Creekside Elementary in Hartland, Michigan (September 10 @ 9:05 am)
"My goal is to have Operation Nice expand outside the walls of schools and flow into the kids' homes—getting parents further involved in the program," Short stated. "The website is a great way to accomplish this. Students are instructed to complete Monthly Missions on the site. My hope is that parents will get online with their kids to fulfill missions."
Short created the site with the goal of it being a place kids will want to visit over and over. Using bright colors and engaging graphics and images, Short developed the site with her Operation Nice Student Ambassadors in mind.
"I created the website as a space for the kids," Short stated. "It's colorful and fun and shows off the main characters from the book, including Zanda Humphrey and her anti-bullying mini-bot, The BE-BOT (Bully Eliminator - Bio Optic Transfomer). Because the book is a main component of the program, the kids are intimately familiar with the characters and love seeing them."
The website, OperationNice.ORG, officially launched August 20, 2012.
