Troop 381 Honors Eagle Scout Tyler Kesterson
Boy Scout Troop #381 held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Tyler Kesterson on Saturday, December 15th, 2012 at Thomson Hall in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Scouts and Troop leaders, past and present, friends and family members joined to honor Eagle Scout Tyler Kesterson as he received his Eagle Rank, the highest level of recognition a Scout can earn in Boy Scouting.
Assistant Scoutmaster and fellow Eagle Scout Mike Peterson presented the Trail to Eagle, along with Assistant Scoutmaster Steve Masters. Outdoor Chairman Tom Sienkowski delivered the Significance of the Eagle Rank. Scoutmaster and fellow Eagle Scout Ron Trosin administered the Charge to Eagle and presented Tyler with his Eagle rank pin.
Tyler presented his mother and father with the Eagle Mother’s and Father’s pins, respectively. Tyler also awarded his Eagle mentor pin to his Eagle Mentor and Scoutmaster Ron Trosin II. A slideshow highlighting Tyler’s scouting career was shown during the ceremony.
Guests continued the celebration at a reception following the ceremony. Several letters of commendation were delivered to Tyler from former President George W. and Mrs. Laura Bush, Governor Rick Snyder, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senator Debbie Stabenow, and U.S. Congressman Mike Rogers, and were on display along with Tyler’s Eagle project workbook.
Tyler’s Eagle Scout service project was to restore the Old St. Mary’s Cemetery belonging to the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Troop 381 is proud to celebrate the service and achievement of Eagle Scout Tyler Kesterson.
