Conceptual Phase Completed by The River Church
The River Church will still need approval on two more phases before construction can begin.
Representatives from The River Church presented their conceptual plans to the Hartland Township Board of Trustees Tuesday night and answered questions from the board.
The community church currently meets at the Hartland Educational Support Service Center and is looking to build on 75 acres of land between Hacker and Cullen Roads.
Plans were presented to the board that included parking for 400 and a seating capacity of more than 800 in an auditorium designed to highlight the church’s services or “experiences” that include music and light shows.
The River Church still has two more phases to complete before receiving their final approval to being construction. The church's Director of Operations Mark Freego told Hartland Patch in an earlier interview that the organization is hoping to be able to start construction this summer.
There was no action needed by the board during the conceptual phase.
Representatives from The River answered questions regarding road access, possible noise issues and expansion plans that could include possible additions to the building itself and residential homes built on the property.
