2. Fuel prices

Here's a quick daily survey of the regular per-gallon price, according to gasbuddy.com —

  • Speedway: $4.19
  • Mobil: $4.19
  • Shell: $4.19
  • Lowest price at in Highland: $3.92 at Citgo at S. Milford Road and Watkins Boulevard.
  • Lowest price in the Fenton area: $3.93 at the Clark station at Leroy and 3rd streets.
  • Lowest price in the Brighton area: $3.95 at Costco at 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd. and BP at 9400 Lee Road.

3. Hartland School Officials File MEAP Security Plan

The Hartland school district has filed a MEAP security plan ahead of a state imposed deadline, according to WHMI. Director of Curriculum and Instruction Chuck Hughes said that the plan was submitted prior to the Sept. 1st deadline and the district will start implementing the plan once it's approved.
