1. The weather

A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 am according to the National Weather Service. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

2. Fuel prices

Here's a quick daily survey of the regular per-gallon price, according to gasbuddy.com —

  • Speedway: $3.57
  • Mobil: $3.59
  • Shell: $3.79
  • Lowest price at in Highland: $3.47 at Citgo at S. Milford Road and Watkins Boulevard.
  • Lowest price in the Fenton area: $3.43 at the Clark station at Leroy and 3rd streets.
  • Lowest price in the Brighton area: $3.51 at Costco at 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd. and BP at 9400 Lee Road.

3. Friends of Cromaine Host "Christmas in July" Sale

On Wednesday, July 25, from 9-3 pm, the Friends of Cromaine Library will host a book sale in the community room, a “Christmas in July” sale on the south lawn and an afternoon Bake Sale. 

Stop by for a great deal on books, decorations and bake goods.
