1. The weather

A chance of showers before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 51. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent, according to the National Weather Service

2. Fuel prices

Here's a quick daily survey of the regular per-gallon price, according to gasbuddy.com —

  • Speedway: $3.87
  • Mobil: $3.87
  • Shell: $3.98
  • Lowest price at in Highland: $3.63 at Citgo at S. Milford Road and Watkins Boulevard.
  • Lowest price in the Fenton area: $3.65 at the Marathon station at Silver Lake.
  • Lowest price in the Brighton area: $3.75 at Costco at 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd. and BP at 9400 Lee Road.

3. Pumpkin Patch

The Youth in Missions group and Parent Teacher League at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church and School will be selling pumpkins until Halloween.  Pumpkin prices vary according to size and proceeds will be split between the two groups to help fund mission work, school assemblies and other parish activities.
