Gas prices in the Hartland area were at a low of $3.49 per gallon, late Wednesday afternoon, according to Detroitgasprices.com. The station offering this price was Speedway, 10070 Highland Road in Brighton. Mobil, 10050 Clyde Road in Fenton, had regular gasoline at $3.59 per gallon. Shell, 10440 Highland Road in Hartland, had a per gallon price of $3.64.

Fenton Patch reports that Childhelp Run the Course for Dominick Calhoun is being planned in memory of an Argentine Township 4-year-old who was murdered by his mother’s ex-boyfriend, Brandon Hayes. Participants can run 5K or walk one mile during the day, and a light lunch and children’s activities will be available. The event will be from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., April 21, at the East Boat Launch at Kensington Metropark in Milford. All proceeds will benefit abused, neglected and at-risk children served by Childhelp Michigan.
