1. The weather

Today with be sunny with a high near 64, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms with a low around 46.

2. Fuel prices

Here's a quick daily survey of the regular per-gallon price, according to gasbuddy.com —

  • Speedway: $3.79
  • Shell: $3.98
  • Mobil: $3.79
  • Lowest price at in Highland: $3.62 at Citgo S Milford Rd near Watkins Blvd.
  • Lowest price in the Fenton area: $3.67 at the Marathon station at N. Leroy and Glenwood.
  • Lowest price in the Brighton area: $3.77 at Costco at 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd.

3. Open swim at Hartland High School

With students out for spring break, residents can take advantage of Hartland High School's pool foropen swims from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cost is $5.

4. New HAYAA baseball team 

New this year, the Hartland Area Youth Athletic Association is forming a 15-16 boys team and is looking for players.  To register, go to hayaasports.com/baseball/store and click "Boys 15-16 Registration." The team is forming now, so sign up today! For more info, go to hayaasports.com.

5. Hartland trivia

I love this feature of the Patch. I learn so much about our area...we have only lived here for 6 years and we love this place!!
