The station offering this price was Speedway, 10070 Highland Road in Brighton. Mobil, 10050 Clyde Road, had regular gasoline at $3.59 per gallon. Shell, 10440 Highland Road in Hartland, had a per gallon price of $3.64.

3. News

The Root Restaurant & Bar, in White Lake Township, has seen a surge in business this week, after being named the Detroit Free Press 2012 Restaurant of the Year. On Monday, Chef James Rigato told White Lake Patch that telephones at the restaurant were ringing off the hook, and reservations for February were filling up fast. Rigato suggests the scallops appetizer and foie gras for first-time visitors.

4. Event

Today is the 46th Annual Detroit Camper & RV Show, 2-9 p.m. at the Suburban Collection Showplace, 46100 Grand River Ave., Novi. More than 250 recreational vehicles ranging in price from $4,999 to $400,000 will be on display, including motor homes, fifth wheels, campers, toy haulers and more. There is a $9 admission fee for adults, $8 fee for seniors, and children 12 and under can get in free of charge.
