Hartland Cheer and Wrestling Take First; Coed Bowling Has Tough Loss

Cheer and wrestling celebrate victories while bowling looks to improve performance.

WRESTLING — Hartland varsity wrestling headed to Flint Kearsley Wednesday night to take on Lakeville and Marlette, defeating both teams with ease.

"The team wrestled great," senior captain Chase Snider said.  "When we had the chance to pin or get bonus points, we did."

The team beat Marlette by a score of 63-16 and Lakeville 69-9.

"Our team is looking good right now, but we still have to keep working hard," Snider said.  "We have a long season ahead of us."

The Eagles are at home this Saturday, hosting the 35th Annual Hartland Tournament beginning at 10 a.m.

BOWLING — The Hartland bowling team took on Plymouth Tuesday night, with both the girls and boys finishing with disappointing losses.

The boys team lost 24-6, but bowler Josh Blanchard stood out with high scores of 213 and 225.

"We had a bad start, but we won our last regular game," coach Ron Heck said.

The girls lost 22-8, falling short of what was anticipated.

"Our girls didn't perform up to expectations, but they worked hard," Heck said.

The Eagles are at home tonight against Novi at 3:30 p.m.

COMPETITIVE CHEER — On Monday, the Hartland girls competitive cheer team traveled to Northville and took first in the KLAA Crossover Quad.
