Hartland scored twice in the first quarter to lead 13-0. Brighton stormed back in the second quarter led by quarterback Chase Browning. Browning hooked with Mark Konieczny on a 46 yard pass giving the Bulldogs a first and goal at the 4-yard line. Konieczny scored from 4-yards out cutting the lead to 13-7.

Three minutes later Browning hit Konieczny on a 40-yard bomb down to Hartland’s 4-yard line. Konieczny plunged into the end zone at the 5 minute mark. Jacob Pardonnet converted on the extra point giving the Bulldogs a 14-13 lead.

Hartland came right back to take the lead for good on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Stephen Milarch to Anthony Villar with just 7 seconds left in the second quarter. Milarch passed to Brandon Gigliotti in the corner of the end zone on the 2-point conversion giving the Eagles 21-14 lead at the half.

The Bulldog defense held Hartland to a 3 and out on the opening drive of the third quarter. Brighton could not get the offense going in the second half thanks to a stingy Hartland defense.

The Eagles scored twice in the second half giving Hartland a 35-14 win, moving the team to an impressive 6-0 start for the season and clinching a playoff spot.
