Meet Vern — One Typical Hound

Beagle and basset male formerly a stray.

By the Humane Soceity of Livingston County

Vern here. I'm a Beagle and Basset mix who was found as a stray. I am a barker here at the shelter but it's only because I'm trying to get you to notice me. I am a typical Hound that tries to escape and will run if given the chance. I need to have secure containment when outdoors. I like other dogs and would make a great canine companion for kids, too. Because I was a stray the staff doesn't know about my former home but guesses that I'm probably house trained or may just need some reminders in my next home. I almost forgot to mention that I weigh about 37 pounds and I was born around 1/2007.
