New Hartland Sign Welcomes Visitors

The new sign was a project for Hartland Eagle Scout Michael Cain.

Hartland has a brand new sign welcoming visitors to the village of Hartland thanks to Hartland Eagle Scout Michael Cain.

The new sign, which was installed last weekend, was part of Cain’s Eagle Scout project according to Lions Club president Kurt Stromlund.

The Hartland Lions Club, along with the Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce, helped support the project, according to Stromlund and will have their organization’s decals on the new sign.

“He did the whole thing,” Stromlund said. “Part of being an Eagle Scout is you have to do a project. I think its only 4 percent of all cub scouts make it to Eagle Scout.”

Hartland Patch is in the process of contacting Cain, who is part of Life Scout Troop 212, regarding his finished project.

Great project. One question: Exactly where is the sign? Looks like it's facing north just south of the Middle School off of Hartland Road?

Yes- sorry about that- you are correct! Right before the bridge across the street from Spranger Fields.
