Opening day for the new Hartland Teen Center will be October 1, according to a press release.

An open house will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during Hartland's Heritage Day with music being provided by DJ Manny Espinoza. Families are invited to come tour the building and meet the staff.

The Next Door Teen Center will be hiring for the two new director positions, according to Hartland trustee Joe Colaianne.

“We’ll be hiring two adult directors and they are going through some training to prepare for that role,” Colaianne said during Tuesday night’s township meeting.

The center will be open Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Membership forms, which must be signed by a parent, are available at Hartland Middle School, Hartland High School and online at the teen center's website.
