While many winter sports are now underway, some 25 fall Hartland High School athletes have been recognized countywide by the Livingston County Daily Press Argus for their exploits — and that doesn't include honorable mentions or second teams.

But who stands out the most?

We'd like invite you to vote for whom you think was Hartland's best fall athlete. To simplify voting, we've picked three from the Press & Argus list who were recognized as the best in the county —  tennis player Grant Comly, boys cross country runner Ian McGinn and girls cross country runner Avery Evenson — and added three of our own:

Emily Bee, who won an archery world championship, Kendra Hull who was the top point scorer for the state champion equestrian team and Kirsten Stroven, who finished fifth in the state in 100-yard breaststroke.

Comly finished the year 14-8 at No. 1 singles, with most of his losses against state qualifiers and one state champ, according to an Press & Argus article.

McGinn finished 10th at the state final and helped lead the team to a second place finish, the highest ever for a Hartland boys cross country team.

Evenson was fifth fastest in the state this year who then qualified for the Nike Cross Nationals in Oregon, taking 65th. She also is a top-ranked swimmer, finishing ninth in the 200-yard freestyle and 15th in the 100-yard freestyle during the state finals.

If you'd like to vote another athlete, write him or her into the comments section. Also, feel free let us know the reasons for your vote.

And … Here's a list of those recognized by the Press & Argus as first team all-county along with some additions by us from other sports.

Congrats to all and good luck to the winter athletes now competing.
