Summer Camps for Kids
Hartland School's are out June 8, here are a list of local camps in the area for summer fun.
The countdown is on: one month until summer vacation. Before you panic, we've put together a list of local summer camp possibilities. Share your summer camp ideas in the comments, too.
- Hartland Kids Kamp: 810.626.2780
The Hartland Community Education Childcare Center is offering a summer camp filled with field trips, projects and events. Your child will be transported to field trips at Water Parks, Bonkers Playland, Museums, Zap Zone and many more. The children will have the opportunity to see magic shows, learn a new skill, see educational or funny guest speakers, play outdoor games and pick your favorite character to paint with plasterworks. Daily Snacks are provided. Lunches are provided on select days or certain field trips. Hartland Kids Kamp will provide your child with the opportunity to socialize and make new friends! Daycare for Infants to 5 years old is also available.

While attending THE GATE the Pollywogs and Beetles will “Hike into the Future”; a rustic camp experience exploring innovative futuristic ideas. Weekly themes will explore; Survival Camping, Wild, Wild West, Kids Around the World, and a USA Birthday Celebration. Campers will also design weeks according to their individual interests. In house field trips will enhance their experiences with Golf Camp, Zumba, Lego Camp and the Nature Bus to name a few. They will enjoy field trips outside of Garden Gate such as Howell Nature Center, Kensington Metro Park Splash Zone, Ice Skating, Rollerama, Huckleberry Railroad, Movies, Swimming and many more.
- Encore’s Drama Boot Camp: 248-529-3824
Sponsored by the Hartland Players’ Encore Youth Theater. Camp location: Hartland Music Hall. All classes are limited to 25 students; we accept registration on a first come first serve basis. A multiple camp discount will be given after the first camp is paid, each additional camp will receive $10 off per family. All Sessions will have a final performance for parents on Friday night of each camp week.
- Little Saints Summer Camp: 810-746-0238
Little Saints will have a variey of themed summer camps throughout the weeks of June including JurassiCamp, Around the World, Jungle Jam and The Great Outdoors. Camps wil run from June 4 through June 15.
- Wildwood Ranch Summer Camp: 517-548-1736
Wildwood is offering summer camps that include leadership, residential, sports and horseman camps for older ages throughout the summer. Dates run through the end of August.

Springhill Day Camp is five full days from June 25 through 29 at Ore Creek Middle School. From 9 am to 4 pm, the summer camp for your kindergartener to 4th graders— right in your hometown. It’s a chance for them to hang out with friends in a fun and safe environment. Awesome activities include a climbing wall, crafts, waterslide and so much more! - 1st Annual School's Out-Shoot Out: 248-722-2399
Clinic director Denny Butcher, head coach of the Hartland boys basketball team is running a one-day basketball clinic on June 9 from 8:30 am to 3 pm. The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 8-15. Current high school coaching staff and returning varsity players will be helping coach the players. Cost is $25 and includes a T-Shirt.
- Detter Soccer Academy Inaugural Camp
The soccer camp, which will run July 12 - 15, will take place at Farms Intermediate School, 581 Taylor Rd., on Thurs. and Fri. from 5-8 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. and Sun. 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. Instructors will include former players from the University of Notre Dame, including Detter himself. Registration forms can be picked up at the Community Education Office located in the Educational Support Service Center or online at www.justindettersocceradademy.com.

Visit Hartland Youth Outdoors Club facebook page - and Come Experience the Outdoors with Coach Jellison -7th Grade Science Teacher and Coach of the State Champion Hartland Archery Teams .
