Sweet, Senior Aussie Looking for a Forever Home

An Australian Shepherd is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hello, my name is Mitzi. I'm a senior Aussie who was born on June 6, 2004.

I originally lived with an older man who had no kids. Unfortunately, he became ill and could not come home. I then spent two  months in a boarding kennel while the workers tried to find me a home. They thought they did and I was in that home for almost 5 weeks before being dropped off here.

While I was at the boarding kennel, they observed that I did well with other dogs. The person who took me for 5 weeks said that I am dominant. I have had no issues with other dogs here and the staff thinks I'd be fine with another dog in a home. I do great with cats but have never been around kids. I'm completely house trained and also know commands and tricks!
