Tatum Ryan Named Hartland Patch Editor

Ryan takes the helm from former editor Christofer Machniak.

It's taken a while to fill the job, but Hartland Patch finally has a new permanent editor.

But Tatum Ryan isn't anyone new to you. She's been a part of the Hartland Patch team since the site first launched in 2010. As a freelancer, she covered some of the biggest stories in town, including the funeral of teen Kendal Lividini. And she's delievered plenty of happy news, too, such as the story about Hartland's first baton twirler in two decades.

And she has some faithful followers of her Hartland Soccer Mom column, which she will cointinue to write. And as you can see in today's column, she's excited to be your new editor.

Tatum is a nine-year resident of Hartland who impressed Patch editors with her love for and knowledge of the community.

Having spent the last nine years raising her children as a full-time mom, she rejoins the workforce with this position.

Tatum will be at Patch bootcamp next week, but after that you will see her regularly around town, covering school board, township meetings and some local events.

But remember, this is your Hartland Patch, so she'll need your help. Feed her story ideas, or write them up yourself. Post pictures to the site and add announcements and events. Here's your guide to how you can contribute to Patch.
