Tornado Watch in Effect until 10 p.m.
The National Weather Service warns strong storms are possible this afternoon and evening.
At 3 p.m. today, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a tornado watch for southeast Michigan, including Oakland and Livingston counties.
The watch is in effect until 10 p.m.
Earlier today, the NWS warned that severe storms may be possible this afternoon and into the evening, bringing wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, one-inch hail and possible tornado development.
A tornado watch is issued when conditions are favorable for a tornado to develop, according to the NWS website. A warning is issued when severe weather is imminent. For more information, visit noaa.gov
