Weekend Planner: Fowlerville Family Fair, Barnyard BBQ, Mystic Psychic Fair Highlight Our List

Check out what's happening in the greater Hartland area this weekend.

 

It’s Friday and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Don't worry: Hartland Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our picks for this weekend:

1. FOWLERVILLE FAMILY FAIR

When/where: All day Friday and Saturday, Livingston County Fairgrounds, 880 Grand River Ave, in Fowlerville.

Why go: Carinval rides, demolition derbies, great food, barnyard fun and more.

Price: $5 adult, $4 senior, $2 child age 6-12, 5 and younger free

2. SIXTH ANNUAL JAIME IVES MEMORIAL SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

When/where: All day Saturday and Sunday at Spranger Field and Hartland High School.

Why go: Watch some of the best youth softball has to offer while help raise money for to help Hartland High School female athletes in need cover pay-to-play sports costs.

Price: Free admission but donations accepted.

3. SUMMERFEST 2011: A BARNYARD BBQ BENEFIT

When/where: 7 p.m. Saturday, 625 S Hickory Ridge Rd, Milford.

Why go: Community Sharing's Summerfest BBQ is "a casual, come-as-you-are event, it's scheduled for  Dinner features ribs, chicken, pasta, baked beans, dessert and more — catered by Billy's Tip ‘n Inn.

Price: $50 per person, with optional bottomless souvenir glass for beer or wine for $10.

4. MOVIES AT THE MALL

When/where: 9 p.m. Saturday at The Children's Place in Green Oak Village Place.

Why go: Every Saturday during the summer, Green Oak Village Place is partnering with SELCRA to bring you the Movie at the Mall experience. Movies start at dusk on the inflatable screen. Bring lawn chairs. This week enjoy Despicable Me.

Price: Free

5. MYSTIC PSYCHIC FAIR

When/where: 6 p.m. Friday at John's Pizzeria & Cocktail Lounge, 1492 N LeRoy St., in Fenton.

Why go: Readings, massages, reiki, drawings and more.

Price: Free admission. Charge for services.
