When is Tonight's Notre Dame-Alabama BCS Championship Game?
We've got your TV and radio listings for the big game, featuring Plymouth Wildcats alum Kyle Brindza.
Tonight, the college football bowl season comes to an end, as Notre Dame and Alabama square off in the Discover BCS National Championship Game.
The Fighting Irish and the Crimson Tide, ranked number 1 and 2 respectively in the BCS poll, kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET. The game can be seen on ESPN TV with coverage beginning at 8 p.m., and the game also can be heard on WTKA-AM (1050).
CBS Sports gave Alabama the edge in special teams play in its predictions for tonight's game, but noted Kyle Brindza's accuracy, a former Michigan high school standout punter and kicker for the Plymouth Wildcats:
"Notre Dame kicker Kyle Brindza, meanwhile, is 23-of-31 on the year. He’s not as automatic as (Alabama kicker Jeremy) Shelly under 40 yards, but he has a lot more attempts (19-of-23 under 40). Brinza is also 4-of-8 from 40+, including a 52-yarder.
"As for kickoffs, (Alabama kicker Cade) Foster has 42 touchbacks on on 92 kickoffs, while Brindza has 25 on 68."
Oddsmakers have Alabama favored by more than a touchdown.
