(With Photos and Video) Exotic Animals Visit Library in Hartland
Program for kids includes a sloth, tarantula and a kinkajou — oh, my!
Did you know that a sloth moves at 0.07 miles per hour or that a tarantula can surive a year without food and water?
Belleville's Mark Rosenthal — Nickelodeon’s 2010 Michigan Entertainer of the Year — taught those uncommon facts by bringing the animals themselves to an eager crowd of more than 100 Monday at the main branch of the Cromaine District Library. The visit coincided with the library's theme this year of "One World, Many Stories."
Rosenthal, owner of "Animal Magic," cares for more than 4,000 animals from around the world and he tells their stories through shows and also sells a book.
"This is fun and my passion," said Rosenthal about what he does on a daily basis.
