Events are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the village area Saturday.
What is it
Welcome to the 9th annual Hartland Heritage Day. First organized by then village area resident Ginny Smoot, the event started as a pot luck for residents but has grown substantially ever since to honor the area's history, according to the Hartland Area Community Council. This year is the 175th anniversary of the community's founding in 1836.
There will be pets, scarecrows and performances. Take a Historic Village Hayride Tour. Enjoy old-fashioned games, arts and crafts … and buy a bag of books. There also will be food, drinks, old time school, blacksmith, a petting zoo, classic cars and an antique tractor show.
