Cross Training is Key to Weight Loss

Here's a couple questions I answer from Bob in Hartland and Mary in Wixom for our "Ask the Trainer Tuesday" segment. Bob is seeing his weight loss efforts diminish even though he's regularly doing cardio exercise 5 days a week. And Mary is afraid if she lifts weights as part of her fitness routine it will make her look big and bulky.

Hi! I have been doing mainly cardio 6 days a week for the past 6 weeks. I'm still not losing my belly. Do you have any suggestions?

HI Michell,

Great job on all the cardio!!! I highly recommend adding strength training to your fitness routine. Strenght train at least 2 times per week, cardio 3-5 days and of course a proper diet. If you have all 3 areas working for you, you'll see that belly fat diminish.
