I’m 12 and never really got to “hang out” with guys, so I didn’t do lots of guy stuff. I didn’t know my dad until I was six. 

Joining the Big Brothers Big Sisters program was great because I got to hang out with a guy I could relate to. We enjoyed going to a movie or just talking. My Big Brother was my ideal match because he was funny, loved to have fun, and gave me confidence. 

We were matched for a year before he went to college. Saying goodbye was tough. I would really like to get another Big Brother.
