On August 22 at 10 a.m. at Kensington Metropark Farm Center, the program is especially for the little ones, and consists of story time, a craft and an activity. Children will get to visit with the draft horses, see how they get dressed for work, then go on a hayride.
On August 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wolcott Mill Metropark Farm Center, enjoy some good old-fashioned fun with something for everyone. Activities include locally grown produce available to purchase, candle dipping, chain saw carving, games, crafts, draft horse demonstrations, dog and goat agility, bounce house, corn maze and more. Vendors will be on site with their handmade crafts and art. Patrons can go on a wagon ride.
On August 24 at 8 p.m. at the Hudson Mills Metropark Activity Center, join an interpreter in search of bats in the early nighttime sky! Explore bat life, behavior and conservation inside, and then head outside to see the bats that live here.
