The River to Break Ground on New Church

Here are five things to know about the groundbreaking ceremony for The River Church which will take place on Sept. 15.

1. The community is invited to a groundbreaking ceremony which take place at the future site of the new River Church in Hartland on Sunday, Sept. 15.

2. Community members attending are asked to arrive the Hartland Performing Arts Center, 9525 Highland Road, at 11:30 a.m. where a bus will take you directly to the property for the groundbreaking event.

3. This will be the first phase of the campus build-out consisting of approximately 38,000 square feet, with a state-of-the-art auditorium, lobby and children’s ministry wing. 

4. Keeping in line with The River’s vision of giving back locally, there will be a 1.5 mile fitness circuit for running or walking that will be available for community use. Work out stations will be spaced approximately every quarter mile and the trail will start off in the east parking lot and run northwards from the church and loop back. 

5. Currently, The River Church meets on Sundays at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Hartland Performing Arts Center.
