Livingston Dems Fill Ballot for 2014!

Livingston County Democrats have recruited candidates to run in each of the nine county commission districts, the first time the party has accomplished that feat, the party chair said Tuesday.

"For the first time, voters in every corner of Livingston County will have a choice in whom they vote for as their next county commissioner. From Conway to Green Oak Township, from Tyrone to Unadilla Township, and every place in between, voters will be able to vote for a Democrat to represent them on the county commission," said Judy Daubenmier, Livingston County Democratic Party chair.

"Having a choice is the essence of a democratic election, and we are proud that so many Democrats were willing to step forward and extend choice to all parts of the county. Filing the ballot means that every Republican will have to defend his or her record as a county commissioner. No Republican is getting a free ride. Our candidates will push the incumbents to explain to the voters why they deserve another term when our roads are crumbling, the threat of fracking is not being addressed, and many of our townships are being left without the protection of law enforcement."
