Mark Schauer Running Mate to Visit Livingston Saturday

Lisa Brown, the Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, will visit Livingston County on Saturday, June 28, to tour the Michigan Challenge Balloonfest and then hold a meet and greet with Democratic Senate candidate Shari Pollesch.

Brown is the running mate of Mark Schauer, the Howell native who is the Democratic candidate for governor.

“I am humbled by the opportunity to stand with Lisa Brown, who has been such a strong voice for Michigan’s families and a champion for Michigan’s women,” said Pollesch.

Brown will be at the Michigan Challenge Balloonfest from approximately 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Following her visit, she and Pollesch will meet voters from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Uptown Coffeehouse, 102 East Grand River, Howell.

The event is free, but the campaign encourages attendees to make a purchase at this great local business.

Pollesch is the only Democratic candidate in the 22nd State Senate District, which includes all of Livingston County and Western Washtenaw County covering the city of Chelsea; the villages of Dexter and Manchester, and the townships of Lyndon, Dexter, Webster, Northfield, Sylvan, Lima, Scio, Sharon, Freedom, Lodi, Manchester, Bridgewater, and Saline.

Pollesch is committed to policies that put people before special interests, children’s education before political agendas, seniors before corporate tax cuts and a clean environment before big energy profits.

As a voice of reason in Lansing, Pollesch will work to reverse policies that are unfairly burdening the middle class and will fight for a smart government that puts people first.

Pollesch, who lives in Hartland Township, has been a practicing attorney in Brighton for 25 years.
