7th Annual Community Connect Gives Hope and Help

Area residents are invited to attend the Seventh Annual Community Connect on Saturday, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Parker Middle School in Howell.

The Livingston County Homeless Continuum of Care hosts the free event to assist Livingston County residents in need connect with resources in a friendly, easy-to-access venue. 

Individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet will have access to benefits information and free services such as health screenings, legal consultation, food, clothing, person care items, haircuts, housing and utility assistance, and more. Lunch and on-site, professional childcare are also provided at no cost. No prior registration is required.

“This empowering day only happens because so many people and organizations work together to make it happen,” said Anne Rennie, Community Collaborative Planner. “We really appreciate our sponsors First National Bank, Walmart, Howell Public Schools, and Livingston County United Way for supporting Community Connect. Over 50 organizations will be represented and we expect to host close to 1,000 guests and engage over 400 volunteers.”
