4. Independence Day Parade in Brighton

The Brighton Independence Day Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. beginning at the , continuing down Main Street to the high school. Immediately following the parade will be the famous "duck race" on the Millpond.

5. Hartland trivia

Congratulations to Don Thompson for correctly answering Wednesday's question — Lillian Wilson of the Hartland Area Historical Society was instrumental in bringing what piece of Americana history to Hartland in the 1970s? Answer: The old 96 Caboose railroad car.
