1. Weather
Today’s National Weather Service forecast for the Hartland area, is mostly cloudy with a high of 39 degrees. Tonight's forecast is a low of 33, with sleet/snow.
2. The cost to fill the tank
Gas prices in the Hartland area were at a low of $3.41 per gallon, late Tuesday evening, reports Detroitgasprices.com. The station offering this price was Speedway, 10070 Highland Road, in Hartland. The second-lowest price per gallon was $3.51, at Mobil, 10050 Clyde Road in Hartland. Shell, 10440 Highland Road, Hartland, had gasoline for $3.58 per gallon.
3. Nominate a caring, positive youth
Hartland community members can nominate youths ages 6-19 to be honored at the Hartland Optimist Club’s 16th Annual Youth Appreciation Night on March 20. Nominees should be role models who live their lives to the fullest in a positive, caring way. Nominations can be submitted to Hartland Optimist Club, Youth Appreciation Night, c/o Scott VanEpps, 9525 E. Highland Road, Howell, MI 48843, or email scottvanepps@hartlandschools.us. Nominations must be postmarked no later than March 5.
4. Catch some Latin rhythm
A Zumba exercise class, for $8 per person, will begin at 5:30 p.m. today, at 1361 S. Old U.S. 23 in Brighton. You don’t have to be a member of the fitness studio to join the Zumba party!
