1. The weather

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

3. 2012 Hartland Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

The 2012 HACC $1,000 Scholarship Application is now available to all seniors who reside in the Hartland Consolidated School District. The Scholarship is available to a Hartland High School, Legacy, Charyl Stockwell, private or home-schooled senior. Please see attached form. Any questions can be directed to info@hartlandchamber.org. Deadline is Friday, April 27, 2012.

4. Opinion Piece about Turning Away Volunteers

Hartland Twp. resident Mares Hirchert wrote into the Press & Argus with a commentary piece about Love.Inc turning away a potential volunteer based on religious beliefs.

"If I remember correctly, the big rule Jesus lived by was, "Love thy neighbor as yourself," or words to that effect," she wrote.
