Hartland Graduate Manages Website Dedicated to Healthy Eating

Watching a friend struggle with anorexia and bulimia inspired Hartland High School graduate Zachary Richard to help others.

Now, Richard has partnered with his college friend Jamie Elchert to create a website dedicated to healthy eating practices, according to a report in the Livingston Daily Press & Argus.

The Healthy Hoot, at thehealthyhoot.com, is a link-sharing website where healthy-living bloggers can “browse, explore and submit links to be posted and shared,” according to their website.

The site has three components: healthy recipes; workouts and fitness; and an inspirational page, including topics such as body image and motivational stories.

Richard told the Daily Press & Argus that he manages the website while Elchert is the creative direction behind the site.
