Hartland You Tube of the Week: The Michael Anderson Story

Each week, Hartland Patch will feature videos from YouTube about Hartland.

There is definitely lots of cool stuff and interesting things going on in Hartland. Luckily, some of it gets posted on YouTube.

Each week, Hartland Patch will highlight a YouTube video posted about Hartland. This week's pick features the story of Hartland High School student Michael Anderson and his battle with cancer. Michael and his family are the recipients of this year's Kahuna Coffee ornament fundraiser going on now.

Do you know of a YouTube video that highlights Hartland? Send the link to tatum.ryan@patch.com and it could be featured next week.

I'd just like to say that this young man,his brother and parents are an inspiration to us all in our community. I am a father of 3 sons in Hartland and the gift of life and love that was featured in this clip is a blessing and reminder to us all what this lifes' for, love. In this Christmas season as we stress about living up to some imagined standard, this video hopefully humbles and implores us all to focus more clearly on that which drives us alll to succeed, our children. My wife and I, raising our sons in this blessed communituy are proud and honored to be raising sons in a place where raising quality human beings with focus, drive and compassion for the struggle of others is common. We are a rural community, afforded the space and opportunity to shape and pursue our personal dreams as we see them, and this fine family noted in the clip is an excellent reminder that in Hartland, we never give up, and regardless of the acres between us we are surrounded by the love and sincere fortitude of hard working families in our fine community. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays' to us all.

We've crossed paths with Michael and Sean Anderson and their wonderful parents in church, football and hockey. The entire family is an inspiration to so many. We will continue to keep Michael in our thoughts and prayers as he works harder than any of us to live a life of purpose.
