Kahuna Car Show Raises More that $2,600 for Hartland Family

Kahuna Coffee in Hartland raised more than $2,600 for the Meckes family during the annual charity car show.

With the largest turn out to date, the Kahuna Coffee Charity Car Show event raised more the $2,600 for the Meckes family.

In its fourth year, Kahuna Coffee owner Cathy Jones hosted the fundraising event with proceeds going to 6-year-old CJ Meckes, who was born with Spina Bifida.

With 23 cars registered, Keith Swims took first place with his 1970 Chevelle. Second place went to Scott Jewell and his Ford Maverick while third place was awarded to Red Stars Speed Shop from Plymouth.

Free music was provided by the Michigan Musicians Collective headed by Bob Clark.
