With Video: New Veterans Wall Dedicated at Village Manor

Rolling Thunder and 21-gun salute ceremony takes place in honor of Memorial Day.

On Thursday, the community dedicated a wall to their resident veterans in honor of Memorial Day.

During the ceremony, owner Frank Crouse dedicated the wall to publicly honor and thank the residents for their service.

Each resident received their own plague displaying their portraits and years of service. The artwork on the wall was designed by Devon Shallman whose grandfather was also a veteran.

The gold filigree scrolling and stars represent the US military armametation and the color blue was chose to honor the founding fathers. The colors red and white were also chose for the wall to represent valor and purity.

After the dedication, a 21-gun salute and color guard was performed by Operation Injured Soldier and Patriot Guard which took place outside in honor of Memorial Day.
