The free workshops will focus on "hot topics" for parents raising children from Kindergarden to seniors.

On March 21, Hartland parents are invited to attend a free parenting workshop and resource fair at Hartland High School.

The event starts at 5:45 p.m. and will be sponsored by Hartland Consolidated Schools, the Hartland Coalition and the Hartland Moms group. Participants will be all to attend three workshops, which will last 30 minutes each.

The workshops, which range from bullying to surviving motherhood were chosen by local parents, according to Hartland High School Student Assistant Program Coordinator, Nicole Schingeck.

"The topics chosen were based on what they wanted to hear about," Shingeck said. "The parents were a group that had kids in grade K-12 so that way the hot topics were across the board, targeted for all grade levels."
