Team Kendal Kidz Dance for Hope and Smiles

Music to honor the late Kendal Lividini helped raise money last night in Royal Oak.

Music filled the air at the Royal Oak Music Theater last night as about 400 people came out in support of the charity, Team Kendal Kidz, and danced the night away.

The charity, in honor of the , raised money for the Children's Cancer Research Fund and Special Days Camp, two organizations that best represent the hopes and dreams of the 17-year-old  who lost her battle with cancer on Jan. 7.

According to Kendal's mother, Heather, who addressed the crowd during last night's concert, her daughter's aspirations in life had been to help find a cure to cancer and to help make young children suffering from the disease, smile.

"Giving hope and smiles," she said, the basis for the charity that was started in her name. "We are helping to keep her dreams alive."

Bands, B-DAB and Radioactive, performed to a lively crowd filled with many of Kendal's close friends and family.
