Weekend Planner: Black Sheep, Warm 'N Cozy and Cookie Walk

Holiday shopping, Christmas plays and coffeehouse entertainment are just some of the events happening around Hartland this weekend.

It's going to be a busy weekend around Hartland! There are plenty of great holiday and non-holiday events so here is a quick round-up of some the things you won't want to miss around town.

All Saints Cookie Walk

  • When: Saturday, 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  • Where: All Saints Lutheran Church
  • Why go: Guests will pay $8 for an empty box at the door for cookies and then be able to walk from table to table selecting what cookies they would like to take home. Hot chocolate gift mugs will also be available for $4.  Proceeds from the event will be used for altruistic community projects of the Creative Saints women, including neonatal blankets for a local hospital, Christmas stockings for soldiers, pillow cases dresses for Haitian girls, and mittens, hats and scarves for the less fortunate.

  • When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Where: Hartland Music Hall
  • Fee: $6
  • Why go: This a hilarious Christmas tale about a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas Pageant while faced with casting the Herdman kids, probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem, and the fun, when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head-on. 

Black Sheep Weaver 30th Annual Holiday Sale

  • When: Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Hartland Insurance
  • Why go: Holiday shopping filled with gifts.

Bulletproof Snow Frontman Plays Kahuna Coffee

  • When: Friday, Nov. 30 at 
  • Where: Kahuna Coffee
  • Why go: Don't miss this rare solo acoustic performance by Bulletproof Snow front man Trey McLaughlin. Bulletproof Snow is Michigan's fastest rising new teen rock band.  More info on the band can be found at www.bulletproofsnow.com.

Challenge Day Fundraiser

  • Where:BIGGBY Coffee in Hartland
  • When: Friday
  • Time: 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Why go: Come and enjoy your favorite Biggby beverage while helping raise funds for Challenge Day at Ore Creek Middle School. This event is put on by the Hartland High School “Be the Change Club”, where the goal is to treat others with respect and to create a bully free atmosphere throughout the school district. There will be musical performances by Hartland students and information on Challenge Day and the “Be the Change Club."

The Warm 'N Cozy Bazaar

  • Where: Hartland Educational Support Service Center 
  • When: Saturday, December 1
  • Time: 9 am – 4 pm 
  • Fee: customer entrance fee $2 ages 12 and up.
  • Why go: Holiday shopping filled with  gifts.
