What Projects Would You Add to a Hartland To-Do List?

The HERO board hopes to begin work on a new community project in Hartland.

During Tuesday night’s Hartland Township meeting, board trustee and H.E.R.O. board member Joe Colaianne asked for suggestions from the township regarding possible future projects the group could consider taking on.

According to their website, H.E.R.O. is a non-profit organization that "provides programming and projects for the purpose of enhancing and enriching educational, recreational, and athletic opportunities for students living within, or attending schools within the Hartland Consolidated School District, or who live in Hartland Township."

H.E.R.O. was instrumental in establishing the Hartland Teen Center, is hoping to start a new project in the near future to continue to help improve the community.

Previous suggestions have included undertaking a new playground structure or pavilion at the future Clark Road park.

“The whole concept behind H.E.R.O. is to be the nonprofit that helps with some of these projects,” Colaianne had said previously.

So, Hartland, what suggestions do you have for the H.E.R.O. board for future community projects in Hartland? Possibly a dog park or skate park? Or maybe more benches or gardens around the village?
