Your Guide to Hartland's Heritage Day Events

Events are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the village area Saturday.

What is it

Welcome to the 11th annual Hartland Heritage Day. First organized by then village area resident Ginny Smoot, the event started as a pot luck for residents but has grown substantially ever since to honor the area's history, according to the Hartland Area Community Council.

There will be pets, scarecrows and performances. Take a Historic Village Hayride Tour or look for some new events that include an old-fashioned barn raising and a Daschund Dash.

There will be old-fashioned games, arts and crafts … and buy a bag of books. And don't forget to listen for announcements of winners for the Heritage Day Scarecrow contest and Hartland Photo Contest. The final time to vote for the People's Choice photograph is Friday at 4 p.m. at Cromaine Library - upstairs in the far corner of the Children's area.
