'Family Fundraiser' Supports Cancer Patient

A fundraiser for cancer patient Erin Mead is planned from 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at .

She is a single mom of two children, ages one and 12 years.

Just come when you can and stay as long as you can. Dinner with spaghetti, salad and breadsticks is served throughout the evening activities.

These include a bake sale, 50/50 raffle, door prizes, bounce house, fun children's activities and a silent auction (the items are awarded at 7 p.m. and you don't have to be present to win).

The event is sponsored by Garden Gate Montessori, for whom Mead was working when she was diagnosed.

All proceeds from this family-friendly benefit will help pay for her bills and cancer treatment.

Suggested donation is $10 per person or $30 for a family to take part in all events and have dinner.
