Girls Gymnastics Summer Classes

Shooting Stars- This is for beginning gymnastics who has never taken gymnastics or for those who have taken a class and have not yet mastered a forward roll, backward roll, and bridge. These classes include warm-up, stretching, conditioning, introduction to vault, bars, beams and floor as well as tumble track and pit activities.

Rising Stars- This class is for the beginning gymnast who needs to master her headstand and cartwheels. She has already mastered her rolls with proper hand placements.

Sun Rays- This class is an intermediate level of gymnastics. We progress with intermediate skills working on the handstand, back extension, bridge kick-over, and round off. Work continues on the beam, bars and vault. A coach must pass the gymnast into this class.

Northern Lights- This class is a continuation of the intermediate level. We continue here to prepare the girls for the Star Bursts class by working on the last 1 or 2 skills they need to be passed into the next level. These girls are hand selected by the coach.

Star Bursts- This class follows the Northern Lights. You must be able to do a good round off and back walkover on the floor, and pullover on the bars. You must have an invitation by a coach to enter the Star Bursts gymnastics level. You will increase work on conditioning and strength, and begin working on more difficult skills such as rolls on the beam, handstand flop vaults, back and front hip circles on bars, and tumbling with back and front handsprings. You must pass Northern Lights in order to attend Star Bursts Gymnastics.
