Sporting the shirt staff wear during community functions, stuffed with "real-looking" money and carrying a yellow pail with ducks on the front, the scarecrow entry for LOC Federal Credit Union was designed to show everything that the company feels is important for the community.

“We went with the money theme and services and providing for our community — trying to help people out with loans and kids love the Quackers Club,” said Cindy Kulas of the credit union.
The Quackers Club is a savings account geared towards children, helping them learn the value of saving money. The ducks pinned to the LOC scarecrow and on the yellow pail represent the Quackers Club.

If you'd like to vote for the LOC Federal Credit Union scarecrow in the heritage day scarecrow contest, you can vote at , the or email info@hartlandchamber.org or cmarlow@comaine.org. Votes must be received by Friday, Sept. 16. Winners will be announced around noon at the chamber Saturday, Sept. 17, on heritage day. Vote categories are: most interesting, most historic or most colorful.
