Goin' Postal Looks to Give Hartland Choices

Fenton couple opens their second printing and postal store in Hartland.

Two years ago Mike Clabuesch and his girlfriend and business partner Lucy Valeriano, of Fenton, opened their first business together, Goin’ Postal in Fenton. Now, the couple is bringing their experience and strong customer service philosophy to Hartland with the opening of their second store located at 10096 E. Highland Rd. in the Fountain Walk shopping center.

“We have a good feeling about this location,” Mike Clabuesch said. “We’re being pretty ambitious about what we’re hoping for.”

The chain franchise which is a combination printing, postal and business supply store is looking to provide choices and services all in one place.

With similar demographics and community values as Fenton, Clabuesch says that when searching for a location for their second store, Hartland seemed like the perfect fit.

“Just the makeup of the community is very similar,” Clabuesch said.

Describing their business as more of a Kinkos-type rather than a UPS store, Clabuesch says the services they offer and will be able to provide for the community is a long and varied list.

“Our motto is now you have choices,” he said.

With shipping options from postal services to FedEx and UPS, Goin’ Postal is more than just a shipping store and offers a wide range of print services as well. From banners and posters to business cards and flyers, customers will be able to place orders online or in the store.

“We’re not going to have all the copiers that say a Kinko’s might have, but we have full printing capabilities,” Clabuesch said.

Goin’ Postal will also offer office supplies with hundreds of items available on their website. The store will carry what Clabuesch calls “business essentials” that include binders, pens, pencils, clipboards and paper products.

Clabuesch says he and Valeriano are excited to be coming to Hartland after years of watching the area grow during the daily commutes and says they are also looking forward to becoming involved in the community.

“It’s developing that customer loyalty, that customer base and that customer service -- that’s kind of how we view things,” he said. “We’re really into the whole local thing -- it’s really, so important for us.”

Store hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
