Interview Tim Gunn: What Would You Ask the 'Project Runway' Star?

The fashion industry expert will be at Somerset Collection on Saturday. Submit your questions and we'll use your best in our 15-minute interview later this week.

Perhaps best known for his role as co-host of Project Runway – and for his iconic phrase "Make it work," – Tim Gunn has made a name for himself in the world of fashion and reality television.

Saturday, Gunn, who serves as chief creative officer of Fifth & Pacific (formerly Liz Claiborne), will debut the Juicy Couture, kate spade new york and Lucky Brand Spring 2012 Collections in a live runway show at .

“The draw of this event is that guests are able to learn from one of the best and well‐known fashion mentors in the industry,” Leah Caruso‐Salak, director of Marketing and Special Events for Liz Claiborne Inc. and co‐host of the event, said in a news release. “Tim has more energy and enthusiasm during these events than anyone. It should be a very exciting day!”

“I am absolutely thrilled that I have the opportunity to host our Spring 2012 fashion event at Somerset Collection,” Gunn said in a news release. “The people of Michigan are filled with kindness, generosity and warmth and I always feel right at home while I’m there."

The event is open to all who wish to attend, though seating is on a first come, first served basis. The event begins at 1 p.m. in the North Grand Court.

What would you ask Tim Gunn?

But before Gunn arrives in Michigan this weekend, Troy Patch will have the opportunity to pick the fashion icon's brain during a 15-minute phone interview later this week.

And we'd like your help.

What would you ask Gunn if you had the chance? Do you want to know what are his favorite clothing brands? What fashion mistakes to avoid? What colors are in season right now? What stay-at-home moms can do to spruce up their wardrobes on a tight budget?

Or maybe you want to know about his favorite fashion accessory, what he wears when he's just lounging around his house or what sports team he thinks has the most complimentary colors.

Leave your questions in the comments section below by Wednesday afternoon, and we'll choose the most interesting or unique questions to ask Gunn. Then, check back later this week to see what he had to say.

Since Tim has a BFA in sculpture, I'd personally like to know if he still sculpts in his free time. :)

Tim, my daughter and I love watching anything with you on it. I think you are so positive and really an inspiration to people of all shapes and sizes. How do you stay so positive and what advice would you give young girls as far as dressing appropriately. There is so much pressure now to wear promiscuous clothing. My lil one is 12. Thanks, Lisa and Rachel, Troy
