Local Animal Hospital Re-Opens with New Name, Same Services

Dr. Kathleen Gannon remains owner and veterinarian at village location.

Starting this week,  of Hartland will re-open as Ore Creek Veterinary Clinic. In a press release to Hartland Patch, office assistant Kathy Cardy explains that the name change is in "celebration of the five-year anniversary of Dr. (Kathleen) Gannon taking over the veterinary business."

Gannon, who will remain owner and veterinarian, wanted to reassure the public and her clients that only the name will be changing, but the location at 3525 Avon St. remains the same as well as the staff that will continue to serve the community.

"Companion Animal Hospital is an all too common name in the industry and even the community," Cardy wrote in the press release. "Something representing the area and community being served is what was desired."

Gannon and staff eventually decided on the name Ore Creek Veterinary Clinic due to the proximity to the actual watershed as well as the school sharing the name, Hartland Middle School at .

The Ore Creek Veterinary Clinic is also keeping its marketing and advertising business close to home. A Hartland High School graduate created its new logo and design and the printing, advertising and new sign are all local contacts.
